The Success Equation

As we recover from the economic shocks of the past couple of years many people have been willing to try almost anything to break the financial strangle hold they feel in their lives on a daily basis. It’s no surprise that in their search for relief a large number of people have rediscovered the Universal Laws and more specifically have tried to use The Law of Attraction to help.

Unfortunately, I suspect that there has been a good deal of frustration with these attempts. The reality is that there is a huge difference between reading or watching about something like The Law of Attraction and actually being able to successfully use the principal to increase your personal wealth. It’s a fact that even many of the people who successfully use the Law of Attraction to to manifest great wealth don’t really understand why it works so well for them and yet seems to fail for so many others.

The good news is that there are several Law of Attraction experts who have spent many years contemplating this specific issue. One of my favorite mentors is Bob Proctor. He is currently offering help on the “make more money” quest on a couple of fronts. Lanny Morton recently released an interview with Bob where he discussed the concepts and mindset required to attract money. You can see it here.

7 Basic Steps to The Law of Attraction

Many people have heard of the Law of Attraction since it’s popularization in the movie The Secret. However, if you ask 10 different people to define what the Law of Attraction is and how it works you’ll probably get 10 different answers. You know… it’s that Oprah, Secret, Science of Getting Rich thing that has something to do thinking about what you want…

The problem is people enter this subject area from all sorts of media and its quality varies widely. The Law of Attraction is a very interesting subject and I believe knowing a little about it is better than not knowing anything about it at all. But, educators know that true success with any definable process requires good definition of the basic underlying principals.

Two of the most authoritative books on the subject are The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles and Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. The problem is that both of these texts were written before the process really had  a definitive name like it does today. While these are very good books, they both cover a lot of ground and it can be difficult to wrap your mind around the concepts without some prior understanding of the nameless process of attraction they refer to.

I recently came across a very well written primer on the Law of Attraction at Will Edwards’ White Dove Books. It covers the seven basic steps or principals required to make the Law of Attraction work. I recommend this as an easy read for anyone interested in the Law of Attraction subject area.

Proof of The Law of Attraction: Astounding Teleseminar Released

He had the success with the idea without really knowing anything about the Law of Attraction or Universal Laws.

I believe this is a very good example of how even basic knowledge of the Law of Attraction and Universal Laws can benefit everyone’s life. It’s also proof that the law works whether we know much about it or not.

Run Tellman Run Pays It Forward

Tellman Knudson is a Millionaire Internet Marketer from Vermont. In September of 2009 he set out on his most ambitious project yet. He started a barefoot Marathon run across the United States to raise $100,000,000 for homeless youth.

This is a very ambitious project to be sure. I’m sure there are those out there that think this fellow is quite insane. After all, he could have spent the winter comfortably in his Vermont Mansion.

When I first began to understand the workings of the Law of Attraction. I often wondered if anyone who really had money believed any of this stuff. Sure, you can read what Napoleon Hill and Wallace Wattles wrote in their books, but it is somewhat more difficult to get your hands on some tangible proof of this working in today’s world. I’ve become a lot more comfortable with the idea since I’ve  gotten to know more and more people who follow the law to amass wealth.  As I watch people like Tellman work their magic, I see that they follow the principals very closely.

Giving back a large portion of your wealth to help others is an important part of attracting more.  I often hear the less informed say that the wealthy donate to charities because they get tax breaks. While there’s nothing wrong with taking advantage of the available tax breaks for your business, I believe that has little to do with philanthropy. The wealthy know the power of giving and coming from a place of abundance.

I think it was Joe Vitale who said it in a way I best understood.  We are merely a conduit for money. Money is a measure of exchange for value received. Wealth comes not from the money exchanged, but from tapping into the flow of  exchanging value with others. If we stop the flow by focusing only on receiving money, we no longer tap into the abundance that the universe has to offer. Giving value is just as important as receiving value.

Tiger Woods and The Law of Attraction

The more I study the Law of Attraction the more I realize that awareness surrounding the Universal Laws makes life an excellent teacher of their effectiveness. Take the case surounding Tiger Woods. I’ve often heard Tiger’s perfection of golf brought up by success coaches. When you study the Law of Attraction you come to understand that it is working in our lives whether we know about it or not.

Proponents of the Law of Attraction tell us that if we don’t embrace the idea and take control of our desires in a orderly fashion, our subconscious mind will still continue to create, in its own vision, the object of its desire. The problem is that the subconscious mind is reactive rather than analytical in nature. It doesn’t know the difference between marital and extramarital sex.

Now I don’t know if Tiger Woods has studied the Universal Laws much. I suspect he has because I find almost all successful people have been exposed to these ideas. Tiger obviously applies the Law of Attraction to his golf game very well. I’ve also heard it said that there are some people who are natural attractors without really understanding how they do it. Tiger’s current situation  is an excellent example of having the Law of Attraction spin out of control for someone who can manifest so very well.

Understanding that our reactive subconscious mind will reek havoc if we don’t examine our intentions carefully in ALL aspects of our lives is the lesson that we can learn from Tiger’s experience. If Tiger Woods had the subconscious intention of having other women in his life and did not examine his behavior analytically, then he got exactly what he desired. If he had a conscious intent in this regard, he still proved the the effectiveness of the Universal Law. By having the conflicting intention in his behavior Tiger has activated The Law of Attraction and other Universal Laws in a way that will result in the creation of the chaos in his life. So it is written in many of the guides to our lives.

I am reminded of the classic Bible verse:  Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.  For the one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life. To me this is classic statement of the how the Law of Attraction can destroy as well as enhance ones life.

Resources For New Members

I’ve been following the Speakers on the New Wealth Experience for the past month or so. This has been a great discovery event for me and has pulled together and verified many of the beliefs I’ve held most of my life.

I have studied many philosophies over the years always searching for the fundamental laws that would make my life happy and abundantly rich. Although I pieced a lot of the theory together early in my life there was always a few pieces missing. In spite of what I already knew, my career and life was far from what I expected it to be. After a lot of frustration I made some drastic changes hoping I could right my path. Much to my dismay, things got much worse over the next few years.

Ironically when I was at one of lowest points I stumbled on a small book by an odd looking man called Wallace Wattles. It talked about many things I had studied before but pulled them together in such a way that I actually began to understand what many people had been telling me for years. That was in 2007. Since that time I have steadily been increasing my awareness in a subject that I had largely ignored as urban myth. It would be nearly a year before I knew that this little book I read was the same book that inspired the hit movie The Secret which I have never seen.

Fast forward to today and I am meeting, discovering and working with many of the same dedicated people who put that movie together. It’s almost unbelievable to me that just as Mr. Wattles stated, my life immediately began to change after I understood the basic techniques of The Secret and the Law of Attraction. The beliefs and its effects are so profound that you are drawn into the discovery more and more as you begin to apply them.

I was inspired to create this blog after applying some of the methods given to me by Brian Colbert during a recent launch of his My Affirmations Project. I would like everyone to see this site as a resource along their path of success and discovery.
