Many people have heard of the Law of Attraction since it’s popularization in the movie The Secret. However, if you ask 10 different people to define what the Law of Attraction is and how it works you’ll probably get 10 different answers. You know… it’s that Oprah, Secret, Science of Getting Rich thing that has something to do thinking about what you want…
The problem is people enter this subject area from all sorts of media and its quality varies widely. The Law of Attraction is a very interesting subject and I believe knowing a little about it is better than not knowing anything about it at all. But, educators know that true success with any definable process requires good definition of the basic underlying principals.
Two of the most authoritative books on the subject are The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles and Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. The problem is that both of these texts were written before the process really had a definitive name like it does today. While these are very good books, they both cover a lot of ground and it can be difficult to wrap your mind around the concepts without some prior understanding of the nameless process of attraction they refer to.
I recently came across a very well written primer on the Law of Attraction at Will Edwards’ White Dove Books. It covers the seven basic steps or principals required to make the Law of Attraction work. I recommend this as an easy read for anyone interested in the Law of Attraction subject area.
